PDP-GF hail Taraba governor Kefas at 54 

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) under the chairmanship of Senator Bala A. Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi state, Tuesday, hailed the governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, who just turned 54 today.

Director General PDP-GF, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, lauded his administration’s significant strides in the areas of education, healthcare service delivery, culture and tourism, security, foreign and local investment, agriculture and agro-based prioritisation, MSME promotion, civil service reforms and improved staff welfare and wages, empowerment of women and youths, amongst others.

According to the statement, the governor’s free and compulsory education policy and its implementation from primary to secondary school levels have significantly increased school enrollment and reduced the number of out-of-school children.

It reads further: “Annual convocations are now mandatory for all tertiary institutions in the state to promote timely graduation ceremonies and reinforce academic standards.

“The state’s economy has attracted Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in the mining and agriculture sectors through consistent drive and cooperation; alongside, creating job opportunities, developing talent and skills and ICT via digital literacy programs, and powering small businesses to reach a broader dimension, among others.

“The Infrastructural enhancement and road networks have transformed Taraba’s landscape and improved connectivity and accessibility thus impacting the lives of the people.

“A revamped healthcare sector has ensured quality and accessible healthcare to all residents of Taraba, who equally enjoy robust security measures to safeguard the well-being of citizens and maintain peace and unity in the state.

“We pray that the Almighty God will bless him with more grace and fortitude to continue to lead Taraba State to greater heights.”
