Factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has congratulated Gov Benedict Ayade of Cross Rivers state on his victory at the Supreme Court on Friday, Dec 9th 2016.
In a statement yesterday, party spokesman, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, said: “His Excellency, this ‘victory’ marks the end of litigation on your election matter and we, therefore, enjoin you to continue focusing on the various infrastructural developmental projects you started since assumption of office in May 2015.
“In the same vein, we are calling on Barr. Joe Agi, to put the issues behind him and cooperate with the governor and other stakeholders in the State to implement the manifesto of our great party.
“As a family, let’s unite and forge ahead for our general good. Cross River state is home of the PDP, and we all must work together to ensure that the people of the State enjoy his administration.”
