The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has challenged Governor Okpebholo to back his claim with evidence or alternatively refer any of such matter to the anti-corruption.
Chairman of the Edo PDP Caretaker Committee, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi who disclosed this in response to the governor’s claim also denied the allegation, noting that such money was not given to the PDP leaders by the council chairmen.
The PDP chairman said, “No such money was given to PDP leaders and we challenge the governor to be specific on who got what, when, how and from who.
He added: “Even if any money was paid to anyone, we expect the governor to report to the anti corruption agency to investigate. We are in a country and a state where the rule of law should prevail.”
