Paul university ses to host 4th convocation lecture, awards PhDs, degrees, others

At least 385 graduands, four Doctorate degrees candidates and others would be awarded with difference degrees across disciplines as Paul University Awka, Anambra state holds its 4th convocation ceremony.

The convocation scheduled for Friday at the University auditorium, would also present an opportunity for installation of the Primate of All Nigeria, Archbishop Metropolitan, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, as the Chancellor of the prestigious University.

Adjunct Vice-Chancellor Administration, Paul University, Awka, Prof. Godwin Onu, who announced this in a press statement, added that late retired Archbishop of Province on the Niger and Dean, Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Maxwell Anikwenwa, would receive a posthumous meritorious service award at the event.

According to the release, the University’s acting Vice-Chancellor, Venerable Professor Obiora Nwosu, on behalf of the senate and the Governing Council is inviting all to the epoch making event where a convocation lecturer would be delivered by Mr Valentine Ozigbo, the former governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra state.

Paul University is owned by Anglican Communion across 55 dioceses and His Grace, Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, as the Archbishop of Province on the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese is the host Archbishop.
