Parents urged to vaccinate their children against measles

Parents in the Federal Capital Territory  have been told to ensure their children are vaccinated against measles and meningitis.

The Gwagwalada Area Council Secretary, Hajia Ada Alimi, made the call Wednesday during a visit to Gwagwalada council clinic for the ongoing ten days measles and meningitis A vaccination exercise in the area.

Alimi assured that the free vaccines will save the future leaders of the country against all kinds of killer diseases, adding that the area council will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the success of the exercise in all the nooks and crannies through adequate publicity.

She said that she was impressed by most of the clinics visited during the exercise and encouraged parents to take advantage of the opportunity to send their wards to be vaccinated against deadly diseases.
