President of SnX media, organizers of the Mega Trade Fair 2014, Mr. Delight Owoyemi, yesterday said over 1,000 exhibitors are expected to participate in the fair.
He stated this while speaking at the media launch of the Mega Trade Fair 2014 held at the University of Ibadan Conference Centre.
He declared that the trade fair billed to hold in Abeokuta and Ibadan between August 4-10 and 15-24 is expected to attract about 300,000 people as well as sponsors.
Mr Owoyemi stressed that the governments of Ogun and Oyo states and their ministries have signified their interest towards making the Mega Trade Fair a success.
The SnX president added that the 2014 fair which he said is expected to be mother of all trade fairs will among other things focused on brand activation.
Mr Owoyemi however maintained that the trade fair would soon be extended to other South West states to be able to have more positive impact on the states in the Nigerian economy.
The guest lecturer at the Mega Trade Fair 2014 media launch, Professor Oladele Osinbanjo, in his lecture titled, Inclusive Growth a catalyst for socio-economic transformation of Nigeria, emphasized the need to make Nigeria economic growth inclusive through the small and medium scale enterprises [SMEs].
Professor Osinbanjo added that SMEs promotion is one sure way of Nigeria transiting to an inclusive growth, and resolving the deteriorating unemployment situation in the country involving large number of educated youth.
