Our winning formula at Glee Luxury Hair, skincare – Happiness Adebayo

It is rather impossible to talk about the beauty industry in Nigeria without mentioning Glee Luxury Hair and Skincare, founded and owned by Osun State-born Happiness Adebayo six years ago. Apart from being regarded as number one human hair seller in Nigeria, she’s also seen as the biggest in Africa as a producer and a marketter of human hair skincare products. Currently, Gleeoflife, the Instagram page of the outfit boasts of close to 300 thousand followers.

The Chief Executive Officer, Happiness Adebayo who is expecting her third child reveals the formula that keeps them winning.

“I always tell my team whenever they are aiming for the best, they should always believe that no one is above them and they are not above anyone and that this brand is the best version of itself – the very best. With this, we work like we don’t even have a name, I mean like we are still struggling to be known. We do not let the many clients trooping in and out get into our heads, we are always so innovative and we stay at the top of our game. I guess that’s why we are referred to as the Africa’s number one hair and skin guru,” she said.

“The Glee brand is built to meet the modern day woman's hair and skin beauty needs, transforming them into glee queens. I started with clothing line, then I ventured into the hair and added the skincare line along the line. I was running the three sections and I had to drop the clothing line so as to focus on the hair and skin section as it was so demanding. So far the journey has been great. God has been merciful, it has not been so easy though, especially getting good staffs to trust with goods and money but we have been pushing and never give up. We thank God for where we are today it's not by our power, we are at the top of the ladder in Nigeria now and it's amazing achieving a lot by just being you,” she added.

Right now, the Glee Luxury Hair and Skincare operates from two upscale locations in Lagos; Opebi, Ikeja, on the Mainland and Admiralty Way, Lekki, Island in Lagos.

Happiness Adebayo, who was born on December 25, 1993 was born of an Edo woman to a Yoruba man. She's presently expecting her third child.
