Osun west APC launches second term campaign for Oyetola

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun West Senatorial District, have launched the second term campaign for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

The second term campaign was launched at the D. C. Primary School, Araromi, Iwo, where hundreds of supporters of Governor Oyetola had gathered.

The Deputy Governor, Mr. Benedict Alabi, who was present at the launching, said the purpose of the launching is to bring unity into the party and to start mobilising for the next 2022 governorship election in the state.

Noting that the Governor deserved a second term for fulfilling his campaign promises despite paucity of funds, Alabi called for a peaceful co-existence between the government and the youths in the state.

He appealed to party members, especially the youths, to be careful with the way they will handle their rally to avoid being hijacked by hoodlums.

Alabi said, “The purpose of this gathering is to start mobilising for the next election and especially the local government chairmen that gave their support. Our government has done very well, so we adopted a second term with the help of the supporters and the party leadership.

“Some of our major roads have been done. You can see our  roads from Iwo to Osogbo and Osogbo to Ejigbo have been done. The College of Education was brought to Osun West (Iwo).

“The government has also been paying workers salaries and pensions with the little funds in the state.

“Concerning the recent #Endsars protest that just took place, the only thing I can say as an advice is that a protest without a leader is liable to be hijacked,” Alabi added.

Speaking, the state chairman of APC, Prince Adegboyega Famodun and the Asiwaju of Iwoland, Barrister Gbadegesin Adedeji, expressed their appreciations to the governor for fulfilling his promises to the electorates.

They commended Oyetola for carrying Osun west along in the decision making of his government.
