Osinbajo hails AEA, BoI, others at MSMEs clinic

Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, at the weekend lauded that Abuja Enterprise Agency, Bank of Industry (BoI) ,Standard Organisation of Nigeria(SON), Corporate Aff airs Commission (CAC) and other agencies for the tremendous improvement in the way that they responded to Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Prof Osinbajo , accompanied by several governors and ministers was freely interacting with the entrepreneurs who displayed their products at the venue, added that these are important agencies for funding and regulation that need to interact with small medium scale businesses, and ” We believe that the interaction has been very fruitful indeed”. “Just today, I have come actress BIMKSF Palace who ptoduces coconut oil, fl out, ginger powder, carrot oil and son, Cura foods and disposables, Eupharayes renewable enterprises among others “I want to say that all the business we have seen here today are many young men and women who believe in this country and who are using Nigerian products, and who are producing incredible things with what they have. ”

A lot of the capital they have is from several of the micro fi nance businesses that are wow or king with them and I want to say that the future of our country is in the small business, medium size businesses doing great things and that is what we are seeing here today . “So, what we have done for example is that we have brought NAFDAC which of course as you know is an important agency in the processes of approvals products .”We have brought the SON And even the CAC, that is the Corporate Aff airs Commission and of conure the Bank of Industry (BoI) here as well,” he said. Indication from the day one of the event has it that about 5,000 person have benefi ted from the MSMES loan disbursed through the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA). Earlier in his speech, the Managing Director, Abuja En¬terprise Agency (AEA) Mo¬hammad Arabi stated that the present administration places premium on the SME sector because it employs about 33 million people and holds about 96 percent of the business sec¬tor in Nigeria.
