Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen opened year 2025 with a goal against Turkish side, Goztepe on Saturday.
Osimhen scored from the penalty spot after just 10 minutes into the game.
Unfortunately, R. Cardoso equalised for Goztepe in the 27th minute of the encounter.
Luck found Galatasaray when Akgün scored the winner, giving Galatasaray a 2-1 victory, seating the Yellow and Red conveniently at the summit of the Turkish Super Lig log.
Galatasaray are now 11 points clear of nearest rivals Fenerbache, who have a game in hand.
