Victor Osimhen has officially been crowned as the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) Footballer of the Year.
He was also named in Team of the Year along with four other Napoli stars.
The Napoli striker finished as Goal King of Serie A last season with 26 goals.
His goals helped Napoli win their first Scudetto since 1990.
The 24-year-old, who recently returned to action due to a hamstring injury has scored six times this season.
The prestigious award have previously been awarded to the likes of Rafael Leao, Gianluigi Buffon, Cristiano Ronaldo, Andrea Prilo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
This award will be a prelude to the Super Eagles striker being crowned Africa’s best player next Monday in Marrakesh, Morocco.
He was ranked eighth in the Ballon d’Or and has also been nominated for the FIFA Best Awards.
