Orji restates need for lasting legacy in governance

The Senator representing Abia central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Christmas T. A. Orji, has restated the need to leave an enduring legacies public servants could be remembered for while serving the public.

Senator Orji stated this at his constituency office in Umuahia while distributing empowerment items to constituents as part of his Christmas gift to them.

The two time Senator noted that once you put into consideration that one day, you will come to terms with services rendered to the public, whether good or bad, you will strive to do good.

He added  that for him, he would like to be remembered for all the good things he did while serving, adding that over 50 empowerment items distributed such as: keke Napep, tricycle carrier for farmers, sewing and grinding machines, vulcanising  machines, generating sets was a way of saying thank you for the people whose mandate he holds on trust.

The two time former governor of Abia state revealed that he has also embarked on 750 lesser surgeries for constituents with eye related problems.

He added that his scholarship scheme for undergraduate students in tertiary institutions is entering the fifth year now as way motivating brilliant students and indigent’s ones from the six local government areas that make up Abia central senatorial district.

Earlier, Suleiman Ukandu, Dr Sam Ahiwe and Ifeanyi Isikaku lauded Senator Orji for touching the lives of his people while calling on them not to sell the items.
