‘Operation Udo Ga-Achi’: Soludo to launch new initiative to tackle ‘worsening insecurity’ in Anambra

Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Tuesday, said he has concluded plans to launch a security initiative codenamed ‘Operation Udo Ga-Achi’.

According to Soludo, ‘Udo Ga-Achi’ would be a comprehensive security initiative aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents and visitors to the state which is currently threatened by kidnapping, killings and other criminalities.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, who disclosed this in a statement, explained that the security initiative was among the plans finalised at 2025 Executive Council Retreat held in Awka under theme, “Changing Gear – Accelerating the Execution of the Solution Agenda in 2025.”

“One of the key outcomes of the retreat is the finalisation of plans for the launch of “Operation Udo Ga-Achi.” The operation, which is a critical component of the Soludo administration’s solution agenda, will be launched in the coming week.

“Operation Udo Ga-Achi” represents a new dawn in the state’s security landscape, and will involve a multifaceted approach to tackling insecurity, including community policing, intelligence gathering, and strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders,” he added.
