Onyeudo dumps Abia Warriors for Sunshine

Abia Warriors striker, Bishop Onyeudo, is set to take his trade to Sunshine Stars of Akure, thereby becoming the fourth to be raided by the Ondo state-owned football team.
Blueprint Sport gathered that Onyeudo was in Akure last week to finalise an agreement with Sunshine Stars officials and is now expected to return in a matter of days to join the club for preparatio  ns for the second round of the season.
Sunshine Stars have turned to the former Gombe United striker in order to add quality to their attacking personnel ahead of this season’s Glo Premier League second round which resumes in July.

“Bishop Onyeudo came to Akure on Wednesday and had a fruitful discussion with officials of Sunshine Stars. He is expected to return in a few days to join the team barring any hitch. We are strengthening our team for the second round and he is one of the players with experience we have identified to help our campaign this season,” an official of the club disclosed.
The trio of Nnaemeka Anyanwu, Emmanuel Fabiyi and Cletus Itodo had earlier been snapped by the Sunshine in the mid-season transfer window.
The Akure club also signed experienced striker, Victor Ezeji, as part of strengthening their squad for the remainder of this season’s campaign.
Sunshine Stars currently occupy 11th position in the league standings with 27 points.
