Ondo PDP disowns ex-dep gov Oluboyo

The Ondo state chapter of the People’s Democratic party (PDP) has said that  the former deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo is not a member of the party as claimed by the Ondo state information commissioner, Donald Ojogo.

The party in a statement by the director of media and publicity, Zadok Akintoye , said the former deputy governor left the party with former governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko to join the  Zenith Labour Party (ZLP). The party therefore considered it  t mischievous to refer to him as a member of  the part.

He said, “Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo is not a member of the PDP, having left the party with the former governor, Dr.  Mimiko for the ZPL from where he sought to decamp to the PDP early this year but eventually never did due to the party’s inability to meet his demands.”

He noted that it is not correct and inappropriate to  refer to Alhaji Oluboyo as a member of  PDP  in the state.

He said the party wishes him and others the best in their chosen adventure in the APC and assured all PDP members that the party remains committed to their collective aspiration to win the next gubernatorial election in the Sunshine state.

Earlier in a release, the information and strategy commissioner in Ondo  state, Donald Ojogo  stated that Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, former deputy governor to  Mimiko with  others had dumped the opposition party to join the camp of the APC in the state.
