The Western Security Network, Amotekun corps, Ondo state command, Wednesday said it will join efforts with other corps in the zone to flush-out criminals.
Commander of the Amotekun corps in Ondo state, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, who also doubles as chairman of Amotekun corps in Nigeria, stated this in Akure.
He said the collaboration of all Amotekun corps in the South western zone of the country forming a joint patrol is aimed at stamping-out criminals across the length and breadth of the zone.
He added that as the corps relaxed the Yuletide 24/7 patrol in the state, has begin to deplore teams of armoured corps to the forest across the state to tackle and flush out influx of bandits.
Amotekun corps while parading 21 suspects, which including one Monday Ojoowuro 32 years, from Irele area of Ondo state, confessed using pestle to kill his unsuspected victims before collecting their phones.
Monday confessed to having collected several people’s telephones in this manner with a recent collection of Camon 12 he sold out at #30,000.
Also, one suspect ,Noel Boulus, 33 years of age, who escaped from a yet to be identified cell with handcuffs on his hands, was arrested.
The Amotekun boss advised the general public to always give the security agencies useful information, with cooperation to curb crimes in the state.
Adeleye stated that in the last one month, nothing less than 15 cases of attempted-kidnapping cases have been nipped in the bud, especially at the border town of the state.
