Omorodion gets first call-up to Spain’s senior men’s team

Spain has called up Samuel Omorodion on Friday for their upcoming Nations League matches against Denmark and Switzerland.

Omorodion’s first senior call-up comes after his superb start to the season with Portuguese side Porto.

The 20-year-old, who played for Spain at the Olympics, joined Porto in the close season and has since scored 11 goals in the Portuguese league and the Europa League.

“At the age of 20 he has football potential. He burst on to the scene in a way that has attracted attention. It’s time to give him continuity,” Spain coach Luis de la Fuente told reporters.
