Oluremi Tinubu commended for taking care of people with disabilities 

  

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was Tuesday commended for her kind gesture to the People Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) and for sponsoring the Annual Christian Gift Day programme organised for PLWDs.

Coordinator of the Kehinde Oshilaja Foundation, Comrade Kehinde Oshilaja, said the annual celebration has been sponsored by Senator Tinubu in the past.

He appealed to all well-meaning Nigerians to contribute to the laudable programme.

Comrade Oshilaja stated that the annual celebration for the PLWDs is around the corner and  the programme is scheduled for December 23rd, 2024, at Evans Square, Lagos.

He said the theme for this year’s event is titled: ‘For the betterment of Nigeria,’ and it aims at bringing together over 300 PLWDs from the three senatorial districts across Lagos state.

He noted that the event is not just about gift-giving, it is about showing love and cares to people living with disabilities, just as Jesus Christ did.

Oshilaja stated the importance of attending programmes that involves people with disabilities and encouraged state governors to organise Christmas programmes that will cater for PLWDs.

Speaking about gift items expected from members of the public to people with living with disabilities, he noted that the gift they needed are canes for the blind, wheelchairs for the crippled, and other necessities that PLWDs members cannot afford.

“Let’s come together to make this Christmas season special for our brothers and sisters,” he said.
