Old boys construct toilets at Bauchi science school

The class of 1997 of the old boys students association of Government Science Secondary School Darazo in Bauchi state is making arrangements to construct toilets in the school as part of efforts to prevent open defecation.

At a ceremony to lay the foundation of the toilets project, chairman of the association Malam yahaya kawure jibrin maintained that the school impacted positively in their lives and so they need to give back to the school in appreciation.

Jibrin explained that the association started from a WhatsApp platform created by one of its members Malam Muhammad kulloma jarawa and later grew into a formidable group.

He appreciated all members of the association for the financial contributions they gave for the execution of the project urging them to maintain the spirit with a view to bringing more developments to the school.

In his remarks, the principal of the school Darazo Malam Sulaiman Inuwa Haruna lauded the ex students for the gesture saying it is a great development.

He called on other students who graduated from the school to emulate the class of 1997 as government alone cannot satisfy the needs of the school.

Our correspondent reports that the association also donated five computer sets to the school.
