Ojukwu takes over from Mba as FPRO

A Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Emmanuel Ojukwu, has been appointed the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
Ojukwu, who was at the Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja, until his appointment had headed the department for two year until his redeployment to the Imo State Police Command in 2010.
He takes over from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Frank Mba, who has been redeployed to Lagos State Police Command as Area Commander, Area J, after over two years in the department.

Interacting with journalists after the official hand over, yesterday, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, Mba said: “Words are not enough to adequately and formally express the depth of my utmost gratitude to you for your immeasurable contributions, co-operations and very warm relationship that formed part of the success stories of the Nigeria Police Force and the Force Public Relations Department during my tenure as the Force spokesman for the past two years.”

Speaking further, he said: “Indeed, the successes and achievements of the Nigeria Police Force and the Force Public Relations Department in particular today, depended largely on your constructive criticism, unbiased and highly professional reportage.
“In spite of security and other challenges, it is gratifying to say that you have always stood by me at all times in our collective quest to diligently and faithfully serve our nation.
“To this end, I remain grateful and appreciative of your worthy and invaluable contributions which have added the needed flavor to my service to humankind as the Force Public Relations Officer.”
