Oguns wants Keshi fired instantly

Former Sunshine Stars goalkeeper coach, Segun Oguns has said Nigeria is doomed with Super Eagles caretaker coach, Stephen Keshi overseeing the side’s remaining 2015 AFCON qualifying matches.
Eagles will confront the Sudanese Falcons of Jediane in tomorrow’s reverse fixture at the Abuja National Stadium. The AFCON champions were stunned 0-1 by Sudan in Khartoum on Saturday.
Nigeria sit at the bottom of Group A log on paltry one point from possible nine against leaders, South Africa’s seven points, Congo’s six and Sudan on three points respectively.
Oguns said another coach other than Keshi could comfortably qualify Nigeria for the biennial football showpiece in Morocco by going ahead to win Sudan  as well as the other two games against South Africa and Congo.
“I think it’ll be a dashed hope for Maroc 2015 AFCON if Stephen Keshi would still take charge of the game against Sudan on Wednesday as well as the other two games involving South Africa and Congo.
“I strongly believe with new coach at the saddle we can win Sudan but not with Keshi still in charge.
“With Keshi still taking charge then we must prepare our minds for another uneventful game against Sudan as his penchant for going around picking new players at will have failed to lift the team.
“Eagles under Keshi made the likes of Congo and Sudan become superstars, countries that ordinarily couldn’t withstand the onslaught of our domestic teams.
“After the misfire against Sudan we must be a meek people to still allow Keshi anywhere close to the team,” said the former Nigerian goalkeeper to supersport.com.
Eagles are still hopeful of qualifying Nigeria for the 2015 AFCON championship in Morocco by going ahead to win the three remaining matches on the calendar.
