A multiple car crash around Kara bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has claimed one life, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps spokesperson, Florence Okpe.
The crash involved a total of seven vehicles, with one person sustaining injury, while about 20 others came out unhurt.
“The injured victim was taken to Accident Emergency center Ojota for medical attention while the corpse was taken away by the hausa community for burial according to Islamic rites
“The rescue operation was carried by FRSC operatives and other sisters organisation
“The suspected cause of the multiple crash was brake failure on the part of the truck”, she added
The Sector Commander FRSC Ogun, CC Ahmed Umar, advised motorists especially the articulated vehicles to always put their vehicles in order to avoid such incident and do some vehicle parade check before embark on any trip to detect any fault.
He sympathised with the family of the victims and advised them to contact FRSC out post Ibafo for more information about the crash.
