Ogun State Football Association has concluded arrangements to hold its elective congress as the current board nears the expiration of its tenure.
At its Annual General Assembly held in Abeokuta, the Congress agreed that election into different positions in the board will come up on June 1st, 2023.
The Electoral Committee was swiftly inaugurated as well as the Electoral appeal committee.
Blueprint reports that both committees have been saddled with the responsibility of conducting a free, fair and credible polls.
Going by the time table, sales and return of form is scheduled to take place between Monday, May 15 and Friday, May 19, 2023, while screening of candidates will take centre stage between 24 and 25 of same month.
The Chairman of Ogun State Football Association, Ganiyu Majekodunmi, who is also an Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made it known that the decisions taken by the Congress was in line with the statutes and directive of the apex football governing body in the country.
He assured that mechanisms will be in place to ensure a hitch free process as it has always been in the history of the Association.
