Ogun: Expect quality representation, Senator tells constituents

The senator representing Ogun Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, has reassured the people of his constituency of quality representation, saying that he would be accessible.

Salisu made the promise, Sunday during his victory and inauguration party, held at the Abeokuta Sports Club.

He added that he was humbled by the trust bestowed upon him at the March 12, 2023 National Assembly election where he emerged victorious. 

“This victory is not just mine; it belongs to all of us. The people who believed in a brighter future of Egbaland and our great nation, Nigeria. 

“Throughout my campaign, I witnessed the power of unity, hope, and the spirit of community. We came together, transcending boundaries of our towns to shape a vision of progress and prosperity for our beloved Senatorial District. I will not disappoint you”, he said

Salisu maintained that his victory at the polls was not the end, adding that it was just the beginning of a new chapter in the senatorial district’s journey towards a more inclusive, compassionaothers.prosperous society. 

“Together, we will work tirelessly to tackle the challenges that lie ahead and create opportunities for all, irrespective of their background or circumstances”. 

“I want to assure you that I will be your voice in the Senate, fighting for your rights and interests, and pushing for policies that benefit the common good. 

“Our nation needs strong leadership, and I promise to represent your concerns, your dreams, and your aspirations with integrity and dedication”, he stresses

Top traditional rulers from across Ogun Central senatorial district were present, including the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, HRM Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, top government functionaries, amongst others.
