Super Eagles’ defender, Kunle Odunlami, hopes he has done enough at the African Nations Championship to win a place in Stephen Keshi’s World Cup squad.
Odunlami, one of the standout players at the competition as the Super Eagles claimed bronze, has been tipped to join the main squad, but he admits that it is not up to him.
“I did my best and I am happy that people appreciated what I did, especially the coaches.
“I don’t know what will happen with the team list. That is up to the coaches. But I am happy with my performance and I thank God that I did well,” he told Said.
Keshi himself was full of praises for the Sunshine Stars’ defender.
“He was great. A lot of people didn’t know him before now, but I think everyone can see with his performance that we have a lot of talents in the Nigerian league back home. People just need to support them,” the Big Boss enthused.
