Emem Eduok has been described as a player with a lot of potential to make it big in future.
Former Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh, who took the speedy Dolphins forward to the last FIFA Under-20 World Cup, believes he has what it takes to play in any league and Europe and become one the super stars.
Eduok has so far scored 20 goals this season in the league, including six goals in the game against Nembe City, a new record in the league.
He further enhanced his reputation by scoring the lone goal for an entirely home base Super Eagles team that defeated Ghana Under-23 1-0 to officially open the Akwa Ibom International Stadium.
Impressed by his performances in the season, Obuh said “I’m not surprised a bit because he has the capacity to do more, and sure he will make a lot of impact with his call up in the Eagles mainstream.”
“Have said it before that he brings something extra plays left full back, just behind the striker and from both flanks above 80% how many players can do that.”
Obuh advised handlers of the Super Eagles to trust him with a role in the Nigeria’s last two remaining AFCON 2015 qualifiers.
“He has proven his mettle in the league, scored for the home based side, and if you ask me he deserves to be given ample chance so that he can fully exhibit contribute what he has to lift the senior national team.” the Enugu Rangers boss added.
Meanwhile there is possibility that Eduak could make his way to Norwegian league come next January when transfer widow opens in Europe.
Blueprint Sport can authoritatively report that three Norwegian top division clubs have expressed interest to sign him on, and they have all made contact with the 20-year-old’s representative.
At the moment, the identities of the Scandinavian teams have been termed ‘classified information’ as high-level negotiations are ongoing.
Dolphins goal poacher fits the profile of most Norwegian clubs, whose philosophy is to acquire upcoming talents from the black continent and sell them at a premium after they have developed.
The former Flying Eagles forward had been offered a four-year contract by a Spanish Segunda Division team this summer, but he remained a player of Dolphins when European clubs concluded their transfer market business.
Eduok is already in camp with the Nigeria main team in preparation for the must win games against Congo in Pointe Noire and South Africa in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state.
