Dr. Darlington Ewaen Obaseki has been appointed the substantive Chief Medical Director (CMD, University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), for a term of four years.
A statement by the hospital’s Public Relation Officer, Mrs. Ibitoye Kehinde, stated that the CMD’s appointment was approved by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo.
It added that the appointment was convened in a letter signed by the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole; and takes effect from August 17, 2017.
Until his appointment, Obaseki was the Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology, University of Benin.
Born in 1968, Obaseki holds his MBBS from the University of Benin and a Fellow, Medical College of Pathology.
