Nwosu lauds Buhari for increasing Corps members’ allowances

The governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA) in 2019 governorship election Imo state, Chief Uche Nwosu, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government for increasing the allowances of the National Youth Service Corps members.

Nwosu, who also said that the issue of security in the country should be an all inclusive thing, said Nigerians should not vilify President Buhari for the present insecurity situation in the country.

According to him, the issue of security all over the world is a collective responsibility of all the citizens.

In a statement issued Sunday in Abuja, the former governorship candidate said the best thing that has happened to corps members was the increase on their allowances.

He advised the corps members to be committed and to make judicious use of the money. Federal government recently increased the corps members’ allowances to N33, 000.

He said: “I want to commend the President for the increase on the allowances of the corps members. This is the best that have happened to the Nigerian youths. I will also like to advise the Corps Members to make judicious use of the money.”

Speaking on the issue security, Nwosu said to address the current insecurity matter all hands must be on the deck.

“We should not see it as president’s problem or solution alone. Everybody must support the President and if there is suggestion you bring it forward.”

Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, recently asked the president to resign because of the level of insecurity.

Similarly, the House of Representatives members have demanded the sack of the service chiefs.
