A-non governmental organization, Doctor Nwokoji Foundation, has reiterated its commitment to lifting humanity and creating impact in the lives of the less privileged and the vulnerable in the society.
The National coordinator of the Foundation Comrade Solomon Alaba who led a team of volunteers, stated this on Saturday during the pre- launching activities of the foundation at Rafiki Children Home, Ungwan Rimi Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Comrade Solomon revealed that what informed his decision to establish the foundation was lift humanity and create global impact.
He said the foundation aims to offer succor in the form of food, provision of scholarships, jobs opportunities and health care delivery.
He added that the foundation is also into digital training, creating health care centers, advocacy for the vulnerable, children, youths and women in communities in addition to creating awareness on drug abuse and other social vices.
Alaba said the founder doctor Mathew Nwokoji who is based in Georgia, United States of America for more than 30 years is a Professor of Criminology and Security studies who has dedicated his life in impacting positively to the lives of many.
According to Alaba, Doctor Nwokoji has always wanted to lift humanity by ensuring that all people are given the opportunity to achieve their goals.
He thanked Doctor Nwokoji for giving him and other members of the foundation the opportunity to contribute their quota in the development of humanity .
While admonishing the people to give the Foundation all the support it will need, Alaba gave the assurance that, Nwokoji foundation will go a long way in touching the lives of the needy.
In his remarks, the Proprietor of Rafiki Children Home, Mr Datiyong Cornelius Sam, commended the foundation for its kind gesture to the children of the home.
Datiyong thanked Doctor Nwokoji for his goodness to humanity, and also expressed appreciation to the leader of the Foundation Comrade Solomon Alaba for his contribution to the home especially on the free digital skills training he has been offering, which has enable them to be able to write JAMB examination without challenges.
He said the Home was established by a Missionary in collaboration with Evangelical Churches Winning All (ECWA) to cater for orphans and the vulnerable in the society.
Datiyong observed that orphans and the vulnerable in the society are a group of people that are mostly neglected was the reason why the home decided as a point of duty to provide 3 basic training to the children at the home which included: educationally, spiritually and skilfully.
He said the children are been provided with pre-primary to primary Six education, while those that attend Secondary School are sponsored to other schools, owing to the fact that the home doesn’t have provision for secondary School education.
The Proprietor added that with the required support, the home will go a long way in providing necessary training for orphans and the vulnerable to achieve a lot geared towards improving their lives just like other children in the communities.
