The Nigeria Women Football League(NWFL) has postponed indefinitely the upcoming Super 6 playoff slated for Delta state.
The league body on Monday announced that the Super 6 will start on May 6th and ends on the May 12th in Asaba, Delta state.
But few hours later , the NWFL’s Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, confirmed the postponement in a statement issued on Tuesday, May 2 and made available to Blueprint sport .
The reason for the postponement was not stated in the release.
Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, title holders Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens, Robo Queens, and Edo Queens are the clubs that have qualified for the playoff.
She further said the new date for the Super Six competition will be decided after the upcoming maiden WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup in Ghana to be held from May 20 to June 3 in Kumasi, Ghana.
