Former Super Eagles forward Nwankwo Kanu is rooting for Ademola Lookman to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
Lookman has enjoyed a brilliant year for club and country.
The 27-year-old was the only African nominated the 2024 Ballon d’or.
The talented winger finished 14th in the overall ranking.
Kanu, who won the award twice in the past, believed the Atalanta star is the only suitable candidate to win it this time around.
“Lookman is a very good player, humble, works very hard and going by the records, I believe he will win,” Kanu told Brila FM.
“I don’t know of any African player who has done better than him this year.
“He was ranked well in the Ballon d’Or (14th).
“He has done well for both club and country.”
