NSCDC rescues 2 from kidnappers

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it has rescued two women who were abducted by unidentified criminals.
The victims, identified as Fatima Muhammed, 18, and Hasfat Adamu, 15, were rescued at Line Supper Cinema in Lafia.
Nasarawa state commandant of the NSCDC, Mamud Gidado-Fari, who confirmed the incident, said the victims were rescued at Line Supper Cinema in Lafia.
While addressing the newsmen Gidado-Fari said the suspect was trailed following a complaint by one Ibrahim Nasir that his wife had been kidnapped.
“The housewife was found at the kidnapper’s hideout, where she had been locked up for a week by the suspect,” he said.
“We forced our way into the room and found the woman alongside a 15-year-old girl, Hasat Adamu.
“The teenager has also been handed over to her parents. The nature of the case is what we are trying to investigate because as it is, we don’t know whether the motive of the abductor was ransom or for ritual. The suspect is at large, but by the time we get him, we shall investigate his motive.”
