NSCDC arrests motorcycle snatching syndicate in Nasarawa

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa state command Monday arrested a syndicate that specialised in snatching motorcycle from commercial riders in the state.

The state’s commandant, Mahmoud Fari, stated this while parading the suspects alongside six others before newsmen in Lafia.

Fari alleged that among the suspects were ex-convict Sidi Madaki and James Vincient, who served in Lafia correctional centre in the year 2015.

He added that the command also succeeded in arresting two gang leaders that have been terrorising the state for years and one other suspect who attempted to kill his biological mother for not been on the same page with him.

The commandant said  the mother had to run for her life for almost a week.

“He said his mother hated him simply because she was not in support of what he was doing,” Fari said.

He stated that the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution as soon as investigation was concluded.
