NSCDC arrests 4 illegal petrol marketers in Jigawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa, has said that it has arrested four suspected illegal petrol marketers in Dutse Local Government Area of the state.
Mr. Muhammad Gidado, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, told journalists in Dutse that the suspects were arrested on  Kiyawa road by the personnel of the corps during a patrol of the area.

He said the suspects were arrested in a Toyota bus with registration number XC 430 DUT that was fully loaded with 19 jerry cans containing 25 litres of petrol.
The commandant said that the suspects could not give satisfactory explanation about the source of the commodity during interrogation.
According to him, investigation into the case has commenced to ascertain the source of the petroleum product and the level of involvement of the suspects after which they would be charged to court.
