“Journeyman” Abubakar Bala has been appointed new head coach of struggling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Sunshine Stars of Akure.
The journeyman will take over the reign at the Akure club following Kennedy Boboye’s resignation from the post last month.
Boboye cited interference in his job by the club’s management as reason for his action.
Bala previously managed Nigeria National League (NNL) club, Doma United, Niger Tornadoes, Kwara United and Lobi Stars coach.
The Owena Waves are hoping to swim out of NPFL relegation waters with Bala’s appointment.
