National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Jigawa state said it has concluded arrangement to embark on voters’ sensitisation campaign to enlighten the general public on voting system.
This was contained in a statement signed by the agency’s public relations officer, Sarah Obodo yesterday in Dutse.
The statement further explained that the gesture was to engender massive voter participation in the forthcoming 2015 general election, stressing that it was the duty of the agency to among other things to arouse the consciousness of the eligible voters to their civic right of voting candidates of their choice.
He added that NOA had also begun all necessary arrangement to ensure free, fair and credible conduct of the 2014 general elections, pointing out that campaign would also touch issues on voter apathy, election violence, and thuggery and drug abuse by youth.
It statement stated that voter sensitisation campaign would start with a state lunch, and later taken to the five emirate councils of the state.
He, therefore, said the campaign would be taken to the 27 local government areas of the state down toward level, respectively.
