NOA trains 1000 WAI brigade personnel in Niger

National Orientation Agency (NOA), has trained 1,000 War Against Indiscipline Brigade (WAI) to assist security agencies in civil intelligence-gathering
Director-General of the Agency, Dr Garba Abari, stated this yesterday in Minna, adding that the initiative was aimed stemming social vices in the society.
He commended the zeal and patriotism exhibited by the trainees and enjoined them to encourage communities to work towards building peace, orderliness and to “keep Nigeria united.”
In his remarks, Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger state, said the state government would continue to give its support to ensure that Nigerians and Niger indigenes were disciplined.
Bello, who was represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr. Sunday Kolo, noted that “a society without discipline can never develop.”
Also, in a remark, the Chief of Defense Staff, Maj.-Gen. Gabriel Abayomi, said the Nigeria army would collaborate with WAI to get relevant information to win war against terrorism.
Abayomi, who was represented by Maj. Gen. John Enenche, Director Defence Information, attributed the successes recorded in the North-east, South-south, North-west and South-west to credible information from people and organisations.
