Emir of Kano, Alhaji Lamido Sanusi Lamido, has said that his ascension to the throne of Kano monarchy was destined by God and that no amount of opposition or intrigue could ever block his chance to become the Emir of Kano.
Delivering a Jumuat sermon at the Kano Government House on Friday, Sanusi, however, said the issue of leadership was God’s ultimate decision, stressing that since it was given out of divine will, there was no reason for one to read a negative meaning into it.
He said “God does not give leadership because of one’s devotion to His will, adding that even those who were recalcitrant were opportune to have a field day on their leadership seat up till the time it was taken away from them.
