The Board and management of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has congratulated our own Mr.Kunle Soname,president of the Nigeria National League side,Remo Stars Football Club of Ogun State, South West Nigeria,who at the Weekend went into history books after purchasing European Football Club, Portuguese second division team, Clube Desportivo Feirense.
Delighted at the development, Boss of the second tier in Nigeria, High Chief Emeka Inyama ,said it is the beginning of greater things to happen to Nigeria Football noting such will not go unnoticed.
Mr.Soname secured 70 percent of Clube Desportivo Feirense shares, which last played in the Portuguese top-flight division in 2011. According to a statement on the club’s website, “Last Friday we effected a transformation of our club through the sale of part of the capital to our new partners, Tavisstock Global Resource Ltd, led by Mr. Kunle Soname.
The Club was founded on 19 March, 1918.
Chief Inyama therefore, enjoined other well meaning Nigerians and corporate organizations to follow suit, noting it is only a matter of time; the country’s soccer will be the better for it.
“This is something for us all to celebrate, it is a no mean feat in the annals of our football history, and I do hope indeed that other stakeholders and well to do Nigerians will emulate his efforts “.
