NNL sends Christmas, New Year greetings to clubs

The entire leadership board and staff of the Nigeria National League (NNL), have sent the warmest greetings to its 40 clubs the current yuletide period.

In a special Christmas and New greetings conveyed via a press statement said, “the NNL wishes the clubs a Christmas and New Year full of love, good health and happiness.

“The birth of Jesus Christ this period , conotes peace,love and tolerance and a big lesson for us humans to imbide.”

NNL Chief Operating Officer, Dr.Ayo Abdulrahaman, commended the clubs for their cooperations, endurance and adherence to the professional footballing tenets in its efforts and struggles to reposition the league in the current season.

Dr. Abdulrahman was quick to remind clubs of the resolute zero tolerance stand of the league to any form of conduct that will bring disrepute.

He admonished them to keep educating their supporters against any violent conduct.

In another development, Dr. Abdulrahaman hinted that the league is embarking on a strong administrative measure to recover all outstanding debts owed the league by the clubs.

He said clubs have been mandated to as a matter of urgency pay up all debts to NNL or shall be deemed not qualified to participate in the second and final transfer windows during the mid-season break.

“Consequently, the defaulting clubs may not be allowed to continue for the second stanza of the league,” the statement said.
