The newly appointed Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has charged the staff of the authority to be proactive and to do things differently in order to achieve different results in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda of promoting blue economy.
Oyebamiji stated this Monday when he officially assumed duty at NIWA’s headquarters in Lokoja, Kogi state capital.
He said the performance of every staff determined their placement and benefits, urging the staff to brace up in achieving meaningful result for the agency.
“Your performance determines your placement and benefits. I have the uncommon privilege to learn and practice classical banking under the duress of the industry in the marine sector, among others.
“NIWA can be performance-driven with your support, especially these two values will be my guiding principle as a servant in this position,” he stated.
