Chairman of Sanga local government area of Kaduna state, Anto Usman, has been challenged over his utterances on the renovated health centre in Fadan Ninzo by Senator Sunday Marshal Katung, representing Kaduna South.
The challenge followed the statement credited to the chairman to the effect that the renovation was not good enough.
However, people visited the facility and discovered that the facility is of high standards, rendering the best services that stand the test of time.
It was against this backdrop that all roads led to the venue of the commissioning where people from the local government expressed their gratitude to the senator on his delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people.
A cross section of people who spoke, urged the chairman to avoid making inciting utterances against elected lawmakers, who are committed to executing meaningful development projects for their communities.
Those who spoke advised him to concentrate on things that would bring innovations and good governance to the people by working together in harmony with all relevant stakeholders.
On the the health facility in Fadan Ninzo, the chairman was urged to construct an access road to the facility and be grateful to Senator Katung for enhancing healthcare delivery in one of his communities.
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in the area, Hon Nuhu Awugo, said the entire Ninzo community of Sanga local government appreciates Senator Katung for his quality representation.
He said: “We pray that God will grant the senator the wisdom to get more of such projects and rehabilitate them for the betterment of our people.”
Another PDP chieftain, Mrs Comfort Amwe, stated that since the facility was constructed, it has never been renovated up and the Senator in his characteristic manner decided to bring succor to the people of the area.
She said the facility became so dilapidated that but for the intervention of the Senator, the people would have continued to suffer in search of health service delivery from somewhere else.
She said the facility is now one of the best in the local government.
Secretary, Ninzo Traditional Council, Aminu Abdullahi, lauded the lawmaker for placing a premium on the health of the people.
