Nigeria’s Flying Eagles to camp in Katsina for U-20 AFCON

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will open a training camp in Katsina ahead of next month’s U20 AFCON 2025 in Cote d’Ivoire.

The NFF had secured the backing of the Katsina State Government for the training camp.

The Flying Eagles broke camp after a recent playing tour of Cote d’Ivoire where the Nigerian team beat their hosts 2-0 and lost by same scoreline in a second friendly.

Nigeria are drawn in a seemingly difficult first round AFCON group alongside Morocco, Egypt and South Africa.

The Under 20 AFCON will serve as qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile with the four semifinalists advancing to the global competition.
