Nigerians urged to see insurgency as common enemy

Nigerians were yesterday charged to see insurgency as common enemy and assist the federal government to curb the strange menace ravaging the nation.
Political leaders and politicians were also cautioned to stop using youths as thugs; instead they should bring them up to be responsible and useful to the development of the country.
Addressing journalists yesterday at a world press conference in Abuja, the national coordinator of Concerned Nigerian Youths Forum (CNYF), Hon. Yusuf Achor, said the mandate of the Forum was to unite Nigeria and build “the cracked wall of our great nation.”
He said the continued unity of the country was one that could not be negotiated, adding that “like every nations of the world we continue to grapple with our immediate challenges, the quest to move the country forward is one that entails all hands to be on deck.”

Condemning the adoption of the Chibok girls, killing of the Emir of Gwoza and other incessant killings across the country, CNYF called on the Boko Haram to embrace the amnesty opportunity given to it by the federal government.
The group coordinator implored Nigerian youths not to allow themselves to be used by unscrupulous politicians as agents of destruction, particularly during electioneering.
