The Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS) has scheduled 4th and 5th of February to hold its first scientific conference.
The conference will discuss how science can facilitate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
NAS executive secretary, Dr M. Oladoyin Odubanjo, said in a statement made available to Blueprint Monday that about 300 scientists will be gathere at the Multipurpose Hall, University of Lagos, for the conference themed ‘The Role of Science in Attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’.
The conference will showcase original scientific research and discoveries, disseminate scientific information concerning issues of national relevance, create a platform to discuss scientific issues of societal significance, and foster networking and collaboration among Nigerian scientists towards better research and innovation.
