Nigeria @64: Medical, health workers chairman calls for patriotism, peaceful coexistence

The Chairman of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Niger state chapter, Comrade Usman Abubakar Dabban, has called on Nigerians to embrace the values of patriotism and coexist peacefully with one another.

The chairman made the call in his felicitation message on the occasion of Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary celebrations, saying “it is time to renew our faith in Niger state and Nigeria as a whole.”

While congratulating the Governor of Niger state, Mohammed Umar Bago and his deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, as well as our royal fathers and all political office holders on the 2024 independence anniversary, the state MHWUN Chairman said “we have every reason to celebrate looking back from where we are coming from and where we have reached today.”

“As we celebrate this momentous occasion of our 64th Independence, it is a time for us to renew our faith in Niger state and Nigeria. It is also a time to embrace the values of patriotism, hardwork, dedication and commitment to peaceful coexistence with one another regardless of our ethnic or religious differences,” he added.

Comrade Usman Dabban also urged Nigerlites particularly health workers to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state, and to support the programmes and policies of the present administration under the leadership of Governor Umar Bago in order to actualize the New Niger Agenda.

“I want to also use this opportunity to call on all Nigerlitetes, particularly our healthcare service providers to support and contribute meaningfully to to the development of Niger state and Nigeria by extension, so as to actualize the New Niger Agenda of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and his deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, in the provision of adequate security, healthcare services, education, agriculture and infrastructure among others,” said the Chairman.

While saluting the healthcare providers in the state for their commitment in discharging their duties, the Chairman of the medical and health workers union also urged them to continue to be professional in conduct, saying their service is both to God and humanity. He then prayed to God to continue to protect, sustain and bless Niger state and Nigeria.
