The chairman of Katcha local government council in Niger state, Danlami Abdullahi Saku, has died in a car accident along the Minna – Suleja Road.
The accident which reportedly occurred at Kwakuti portion of the road threw Niger state into mourning.
In a condolence message issued in Minna Wednesday, the
Niger state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, expressed rude shock over the news of the death of the council chairman.
The statement signed by his chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor described the death of the council chairman as heart-breaking.
He said, “The demise of Abdullahi Saku is a sharp reminder that all creatures are from Allah and unto Him they will return at the appointed time.”
He commiserated with the family of the deceased, the people of Katcha local government area, and the entire state over the loss.
“I therefore encourage the people to remain steadfast in the will of Allah at all time, as He is perfect in all things,” he said.
The governor prayed that Allah will make Aljanna Firdausi the final abode of the deceased and comfort all the bereaved.
