A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Foundation for Good Governance and Social Change, has urged the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to partner with other relevant agencies on job creation in order to reduce unemployment.
President of the group, Barrister Austine Osakue, gave the admonition at the skills acquisition graduation ceremony of Ehimax Trading Enterprise (ETE) manufacturer’s of Mine Kitchen Liquid Dish Wash in collaboration with the NDE office in Edo state.
Osakue said Nigerians were aware that most of the federal government agencies were starved financially by the same body which set them up, adding that by implication the lack of funds hampered their efficacies.
“What the NDE needs to do now is to now build bridges of collaboration. There are places you cannot reach because you are a government person but partner with those who can say such things.
“There are so many resources on our land for God has blessed us so much. We should not be begging in the midst of so much abundance,” he said.
State Coordinator, NDE, Mrs. Ayo Adegbai, in her remarks, commended the graduating students, adding that their micro-economy “is what drives the present day economy.”
She urged them to look at for areas they were proficient and make out the best in their chosen careers.
