NGO boss disowns articles on IPOB

Executive Director, Centre for Preventive Diplomacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution (CPD-ARD), Mr. Charles Mbani, has given a seven-day ultimatum to the author of two articles written in his name and their media collaborators to retract the article and tender apology to him.

Mbani, who warned in an interview yesterday, said “failure to do this will attract legal actions against the author and his media collaborators,” adding that the identity of the perpetrators of the act “will soon be unveiled at the appropriate time.”

“The authors of the publication and their media vehicles are hereby given seven working days to retract the said articles and to tender apology to me via the same media for maligning my name.

“Failure to do this will attract legal actions against the authors and their media vehicles. I have no doubt that at the appropriate time; the identity of the writers of the articles will be unveiled.”

Two articles entitled: “Nnamdi Kanu: Avoiding the doomsday in Igboland” and “Nnamdi Kanu will flee to UK and leave behind broken bodies and damaged youths,” were published in name of Charles Mbani in an online platform, naija.com, on 13th and 14th September 2017.

But Mbani said they were written and published to ridicule the Igbo and the struggle of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

According to him, he is a full-fledged Igbo who would not work in contravention of the Igbo course as the articles set out to achieve.
