Two referees of the Nigeria National League (NNL) have been suspended from the list of match officials scheduled for appointment.
They are the Referees of the Week 5 game – Crown FC of Ogbomosho vs Dakkada FC of Uyo – Ese Williams and Muritala Folahan.
According to an information by the NFF Referees Committee, the suspended refresh may not be appointed for another match until further notice.
The statement signed by Ameenu Mohammed, for the NFF Referees Committee Chairman, dated January 22, 2025, the decision of the match officials that have no recourse to any part of the Laws of the Game in view of the Incidents that occured during their match.
The NFF Referees Committee used the opportunity to warn that it won’t tolerate such misconducts that would bring the game and refereeing to disrepute.
